Two of a kind

Shellee Allen

As the newest member of the Allen family I wanted to pay tribute to Chet (the best father in law a women could ask for).

I will never forget the first time I met Chet. Mark and I had only been dating a few months when we met for lunch. From his first smile, we shared a connection. We had so much fun over lunch sharing about our travels, business adventures and our fondness for Mark. I will never forget our good-bye that day. Chet told Mark, “don’t screw this up”! Then he gave my a big hug and said, “I hope to see you again soon”.

A few weeks later, I was invited to be a part of the Geezer Golf brainstorming meeting and my admiration for Chet continued to grow. We met several times as a group and loved his enthusiasm from the start up.

Chet was always so welcoming and made me feel like part of the Allen family even before Mark and I got married. On our wedding day, after our dance, Chet told me he loved me and I realize now how easily he spoke his heart.

Our time together was not long in duration but I am forever grateful for the time we shared.
